Moray Scuba - Providing All Your Scuba Diving Needs

Attaining the goals under each heading will qualify you to apply for a separate certification card and diploma indicating your level of training.
Example: Completing all 4 prerequisites under "Scuba Master" will earn you a new "Scuba Master" Certification Card and Diploma to honor your achievement. You may apply for your new card through any IDEA Instructor.

OPEN WATER:

Minimum 24 hour course with 6 Open Water Dives
All classroom and water skills must be successfully completed
All textbook questions must be completed by student
Student must pass written test
Signed medical evaluation, waiver and liability release forms
Minimum age 12 yrs old. Minors must have parental approval

ADVANCED OPEN WATER (includes overviews of Compass and Natural Navigation, Night Diving, Limited Visibility, Deep Diving, Basic Scuba Rescue)

Must already have at least 6 Open Water Dives
Minimum age 15 yrs old

NITROX DIVER (Mixed Gas – No open water dives required)

Minimum age 18 yrs old
Must already be Advanced Open Water certified

MASTER DIVER

Must already be Advanced Open Water certified
Must have already completed five specialty courses including Rescue Diver
Signed medical evaluation, waiver, application and liability release forms
Must be I.D.E.A. Dive Medic certified or equivalent

SCUBA MASTER

Must have completed five more specialty courses for a total of ten
Certified Master Diver
Must be I.D.E.A. Dive Medic certified or equivalent
Signed medical evaluation, waiver, application and liability release forms

SCUBA MASTER ELITE (Final level of certification for the non-professional diver)
NOTE: Graduates of this course will receive an IDEA Satin Award Jacket

Must have completed five more specialty courses for a total of fifteen
Certified Scuba Master
Must be I.D.E.A. Dive Medic certified or equivalent
Signed medical evaluation, waiver, application and liability release forms

DIVEMASTER (You may enroll in the Divemaster Course after finishing the Advanced Open Water Course if you meet the following criteria)

Must be Advanced Open Water Certified
Completed 50 logged dives with 40 hours underwater
Certified in Rescue, Search and Recovery
Must be I.D.E.A. Dive Medic certified or equivalent
Minimum age 18 yrs old
Signed medical evaluation, waiver, application and liability release forms
